Terrific Twos
The Parent-Tot Class, Tuesdays 1-2:30 PM
The Terrific Twos class is specially designed for children who are two years old by September 1, accompanied by a parent or caregiver. This program provides a gentle introduction to a group preschool setting, enveloped in the comforting presence of a parent. It aims to familiarize young learners with the classroom environment in a way that feels safe and supportive.
During each session, parents and children engage together in a series of fun and educational activities. From singing songs and reading stories to engaging in arts and crafts, these activities promote exploration and creativity. The class also encourages physical movement through dancing and play, enhancing both fine and gross motor skills. Thrilling Threes
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9 AM - 12 PM
The Thrilling Threes program is crafted for three-year-olds, focusing on introducing social skills and basic academic concepts needed in a group setting. The curriculum incorporates learning colors, shapes, numbers, and fundamental sequencing, which are essential for cognitive development. Through themed activities, children also work on fine and gross motor skills, as well as language development, ensuring a comprehensive approach to early learning.
As children progress through the year, each step of the curriculum builds upon the last, enhancing understanding and retention of basic concepts. The learning process is interactive, involving exploration, manipulation, and discovery. For four-year-olds, the Fantastic Fours curriculum builds significantly on foundational skills, emphasizing both fine and gross motor skills, cognitive abilities, and social-emotional development. The program encourages children to refine their motor skills through activities like drawing, building, and various physical exercises that include hopping, skipping, and balancing. Cognitive and language skills are enhanced through interactive and thematic activities that cover a range of topics from phonics to simple math.
In addition to regular sessions, the extended day options provide additional time for literacy, dramatic play, and science activities, deepening the children's engagement and skill development.
